Your Questions About Ebay Singapore Auction

Ruth asks…

What’re recommended online auction websites in Singapore besides Ebay and “now-defunct” Yahoo Auction?

richermo answers:

You can use the NEW and MOST POPULAR site in singapore now. The mocca.com

Sharon asks…

Since Yahoo Auctions (singapore) has closed down, what is the next best online auction site besides ebay ?

richermo answers:

Anything that’s not eBay suffers from eBay, so traffic is weak on most sites not eBay…

Ioffer.com is a great new source that allot of eBay sellers who are pissed are migrating too…

eBid Net & Online Auction are mostly free, stuff gets hits, little conversion (I use these)

eBID- http://www.clixGalore.com/Lead.aspx?BID=28651&AfID=181791&AdID=4199

http://www.onlineauction.com/

or just go down the list at http://auctions.nettop20.com/

WRONG ANSWERS!
Amazon has something, they are unreasonable price wise…

Obviously Craigslist will not work for you, it is a local market and prob not a valued as other markets (assumption)

uBid.com- Well, unless you have a “overstock” forget about it

Your Questions About Ebay Uk

Betty asks…

How much does it cost to list on other country’s ebay sites such as ebay canada ,ebay uk?

I sell items on us ebay site,
and I want have my items also exposed in other country’s ebay sites such as ebay uk,ebay canada..
How much does it cost to do that?

richermo answers:

Ebay TRIES to get you to pay an extra 10 cents to have your stuff listed on eBay UK, but guess what? Everyone in every country can see your listings! I get buyers from Canada, the UK, France, Germany, etc. Every week and I pay nothing extra. Your listings are fine.

Paul asks…

If i buy something from ebay UK, will i have to pay taxes and customs from the carrier at the door?

I live in Canada, and im looking to buy shoes off ebay uk, which are 150US. The seller says i will not have to pay customs at the door?

richermo answers:

Yes, you will pay GST and possibly PST, as well as any applicable duties (which depend on country of origin), plus a brokerage fee.

Your Questions About Gunbroker Auction

Helen asks…

Is it cheaper to buy a handgun from an online auction site like gunbroker or to go to a gunshow and purchase 1?

i have been looking for a sig p250 or a walther p99c as or qa. the as/qa’s will run about 640$ new on online gun auction sites, while the sig p250 will run about 500 new. would it be cheaper to find a local gunshow to buy these guns? are gunshows typically a good place to get deals or are their prices pretty much the same as local stores? thanks

richermo answers:

I would suggest looking around online to get a general price of what you are looking for and then visit a gun show and see if its comparable. In my experience, Gun shows around my hometown *helena, montana* are huge rip-offs. We have only a few a year and not much competition given our small population so they gouge my *thankfully* gun-friendly state. I like a lot of military surplus firearms and I think the prices at the gunshows are way over-priced. That being said, if you have a lot of dealers in your area, a gun show might be a great place to purchase the firearm you want. I know there is wiggle room in the gun shows whereas gunbroker the price you win the auction is the price you pay. I’ve purchased several firearms from gunbroker and a few from local dealers and it all depends on what you are looking for. A few things to keep in mind….
1. Factor in shipping and the FFL transfer Fee when considering price
2. If you are looking at new firearm prices, also visit local dealers as well as gun shows as the prices tend to be fairly close for new firearms vs used ones
3. Check all the auction sites, I’ve found the big 3 are a bit different in their prices
4. Don’t forget online retailers of firearms, not just auciton sites. I recently purchased a Beretta CX4 storm online and I beat my local price by almost 200 bucks even after factoring shipping and transfer fees.

Included in my sources is a few auction sites as well as online retailers. Good luck and I hope this helps

Charles asks…

Any opinions on the Sig P250 9mm handgun?

I want to purchase my first semi automatic handgun. I already own two revolvers, a shotgun, and three rifles. So, I figure it’s time to move on to the autoloader.
I am considering purchasing this gun: http://gunbroker.com/Auction/ViewItem.asp?Item=133311973
How would you feel about using it for self defense and carrying it in a concealed holster?

richermo answers:

The P250 is an excellent choice for someone familiar with revolvers as it is double action only and no external safety-just like a revolver. The ability to change grip sizes and trigger lengths allows it to be custom fitted to your hand.Sig quality at a comfortable price. Got Sig?

Your Questions About Online Art Auctions

Carol asks…

Which is the top online art works auction web site?

richermo answers:

I don’t actually know but one guess would be perhaps Sotheby’s has one. Perhaps you could look up the name Ivan Karp. He was a particular art dealer who had and still has some paintings made by an artist named John Kacere and I know his son Kory Kacere. I think Ivan Karp is still alive and he might have an online art works thing going on a web site, perhaps with auctions.

Susan asks…

what is the best online auction site for art and collectibles?

mostly antiques (bottles, coins, vintage records, comic books, games and toys, boxes , jewelery, ceramics, postcards). Old and new original artwork. also some tech. phone and computer stuff. besides the obvious ebay and nonviolenceglobal.com (Art)

Your Questions About California Storage Auctions

Robert asks…

California Storage auctions ?

does someone has the master? list for storage auctions in north California? Thank you or maybe how good of a list is the this one @ http://www.storageauctions.com/

richermo answers:

I’m sure it’s a reasonably good list. But you really ought to start out by contacting a few of your local storage places and getting their auction info. I can’t imagine you’ll be going all over N Ca to start with. Just start local and then see how you like it before going all over the place. Transportation costs will eat up your profits.

Steven asks…

where are storage auctions in northern california?

i live in modesto ca and i wanted to know if anyone knows were storage auctions are at around my area and when if anyone could help me please thank you.
or any web site that would help

Your Questions About Auction Arms

Daniel asks…

Gun Broker vs Auction Arms Which one is better?

I know Gun Broker is more popular and has more items but my question is which one will fetch more money for an item and which one is better to purchase a firearm from?

richermo answers:

Because Gunbroker is more popular then it stands to reason that more people will look there and you will most likely get more money for your item.

Your Questions About Animal Sculptures

George asks…

Anyone know where I can get fruit/veggie animal sculptures?

There are many books out there like Play With Your Food that feature animals that have been made out of fruit and veggies. I have found a banana dog but am stuck trying to find others. I know there are some penguins and a monkey but I cannot find them. Anyone know where I can look?

richermo answers:

Are you trying to find pictures of these or the actual sculptures?

In any case, i’ve listed some sites that i’ve found veggie animals on. If you can’t get the sculptures from the site, then maybe try making your own with the pics as a guide.
